In 2005, Dare To Be founders Natalie Grant and Charlotte Gambill met for the first time while attending an event in California. Even though they’d grown up in different parts of the world (Natalie in the U.S, Charlotte in the U.K.) they quickly discovered their stories overlapped close to home. Their connection was immediate, and it wasn’t long before they began dreaming of a way to combine their ministries to empower and honor women.
In 2012, they founded Dare To Be, using their own resources to host their first-ever event. Dare To Be was designed to allow women to experience the benefits of a large conference packed into a single evening. The night is not just a speaker and concert, but a fully integrated program, including teaching, storytelling, worship, and inspiring moments of recognition and honor. The hope for the evening is to open up space in women’s hearts, daring them to embrace all of who they’re created to be in Christ.
