At every Dare To Be event, we honor a woman in each local community. These are women of admirable faith, humility, and surrender, whose stories are making a significant impact on their communities, and thus the world. If you know a woman like this, and want to nominate her for a honoree moment, please follow our guidelines and fill out the form below.
Guidelines: We're looking for one woman in each event city who has been a shining light in their community despite being faced with unfortunate or overwhelming circumstances. In the past, we've honored women who have overcome or are currently fighting cancer and other diseases, have lost children or family members, or have conquered challenging obstacles in their lives, all the while letting the light of Christ shine through their circumstances. These are the women who are not looking for a spotlight but are using all of their resources to radically show God's love to others. These are the women we need your help finding so we can honor them at Dare To Be.
Please remember: The honoree moment is a surprise to the honoree, so make sure you don't tell them they're being nominated. Also, please make sure to note if there is any part of their story that they would not be comfortable with having shared from stage.

In 2005, Dare To Be founders Natalie Grant and Charlotte Gambill met for the first time while attending an event in California. Even though they’d grown up in different parts of the world (Natalie in the U.S, Charlotte in the U.K.) they quickly discovered their stories overlapped close to home. Their connection was immediate, and it wasn’t long before they began dreaming of a way to combine their ministries to empower and honor women.
In 2012, they founded Dare To Be, using their own resources to host their first-ever event. Dare To Be was designed to allow women to experience the benefits of a large conference packed into a single evening. The night is not just a speaker and concert, but a fully integrated program, including teaching, storytelling, worship, and inspiring moments of recognition and honor. The hope for the evening is to open up space in women’s hearts, daring them to embrace all of who they’re created to be in Christ.
For those who haven’t attended Dare To Be in the past, it’s a single evening event designed for women of ALL ages. Natalie Grant and Charlotte Gambill prayerfully sculpt the night around worship, music, and two full Bible teaching sessions. At Dare To Be you’re able to experience the fullness of a multi-day women’s conference, but wonderfully jam-packed into an affordable, three-hour, one-night event. We hope you'll bring your friends and family to experience this full night of encouragement, Bible teaching, and inspiration!
