Our mission is to magnify the One who has called each of us to live with an ignited purpose and divine destiny. Our passion is to awaken the potential within every woman by daring her to claim the promises of Christ for herself, family, and surrounding community. Our hope is that we remind every woman she is capable of accomplishing all her God-given dreams through Christ who gives her strength.
What We Believe
At Dare To Be, our belief is that God’s word is the final authority. We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testament, are verbally inspired by God and fully trustworthy in what they say. We also proclaim to be followers of Jesus, firmly rooted in the belief that he is the way, the truth, and the life. We are advocates for the worldwide Church, as we believe gathering and bonding with other believers is essential for spiritual growth and formation.
As faithful followers of Jesus, we also believe in our role of becoming His hands and feet in our communities. In order to best serve our neighbors and those in need, we believe in the necessity of getting our hands dirty and continually praying for humility in all things.
Lastly, we believe in the holy practice of honoring women of faith, who boldly step out for others, daring to be one for someone.
In 2005, Dare To Be founders Natalie Grant and Charlotte Gambill met for the first time while attending an event in California. Even though they’d grown up in different parts of the world (Natalie in the U.S, Charlotte in the U.K.) they quickly discovered their stories overlapped close to home. Their connection was immediate, and it wasn’t long before they began dreaming of a way to combine their ministries to empower and honor women.
In 2012, they founded Dare To Be, using their own resources to host their first-ever event. Dare To Be was designed to allow women to experience the benefits of a large conference packed into a single evening. The night is not just a speaker and concert, but a fully integrated program, including teaching, storytelling, worship, and inspiring moments of recognition and honor. The hope for the evening is to open up space in women’s hearts, daring them to embrace all of who they’re created to be in Christ.
